Biography
Sannie Charlotte Carlson, was born in Skaelskor, Denmark. Before singing Sannie worked as a very successful model and studied music. Then she met the producer Larry Pignagnoli. The name Whigfield is a tribute to Sannie's piano teacher.
The singles "Another Day" and "Think Of You" entered both the top 10 in Germany, the Netherlands and many other European countries. Apart from these two songs, the album "Whigfield" includes the wonderful ballad "Clos To You". However, the most succesful release the global smash "Saturday Night", her debut single, which stayed 11 weeks on the #1 position in the Spanish charts and also became a massive hit in Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark, Portugal and in the UK. Over 2 million copies of this song were sold.
